The Seeds of the Pack
Our passion for storytelling didn't start in a studio; it started in the pockets of those who came before us. Jon grew up watching his grandfather, Jim "Wyoming" Penton, carry a slender 35mm film camera everywhere he went- a quiet, constant witness to the beauty of daily life. That seed grew into a decade-long journey of capturing over 50 weddings, always searching for the "Visual Alchemy" that turns a moment into a legacy.
Heather’s journey began even further afield. Before she was capturing the "animating gift of life" behind a lens, she was in the heart of Africa, helping to rehabilitate and raise baboons. That experience forged a deep respect for the raw, unscripted beauty of nature and a resilience that she brings to every wedding trail we walk together.

We’ve felt it ourselves—during our first sunrise hike at Cedar Bayou and while navigating the grueling six-mile trail to the Lighthouse Rock in Palo Duro Canyon. When the environment is grand, the small, intimate moments become even more significant. Whether it's the way you pull each other closer as the temperature drops or the quiet awe of a moonlit landscape, those are the stories that deserve to be told.

Choosing an outdoor wedding or a Stargazing Experience comes with its own set of challenges. We’ve been through the gray, drizzly November tent camps and the "Heat Hydra" of Texas summers. We’ve stood in the stillness of Rocky Mountain National Park at midnight and waited for the stars to align.
