[ 01 / 08 ] MEET THE WOLFPACK

Partners in Life, Legacy, and Craft

We are Jon and Heather Penton—the husband-and-wife team behind Wolfpack Wedding Co. To us, "The Wolfpack" isn't just a name; it embodies our philosophy of loyalty, presence, and stewardship.

When you hire us, you aren’t just getting two sets of eyes; you are getting a unified front. We work in a shared shorthand - one of us capturing the epic, sweeping scale of the landscape while the other protects the quiet, intimate moments happening within it. One of us captures the Bride's entry, and the other is focused on the Groom's beaming gaze at Her arrival.

We believe Marriage is the greatest adventure of all, and we’ve dedicated our livelihood to helping you begin your marriage with total presence and peace of mind on Day One.

THE NAVIGATOR

Jon Penton

Lead Photographer & Director of Photography

The Steady Hand

in the Wild

Since 2012, originally serving the Texoma community as Jon Penton Photography, Jon has been the Creative Director of the Wolfpack. An expert in complex lighting, storytelling, and astrophotography, his true value lies in his role as your Navigator. He is the one scouting the ridgeline at dawn, calculating the moon’s path for your portraits weeks in advance, and ensuring that no matter how rugged the terrain, your Gallery reflects bespoke craftsmanship.

His Approach: Grounded confidence. Jon navigates the logistical hurdles and environmental variables so you can remain fully present. He believes that the more prepared we are, the more room you have to be spontaneous.

THE HEART

Heather Penton | Photographer & Intuitive Lead

Master of the

"Moments In-Between"

Heather is the soul of the operation and the guardian of the quiet moments. If Jon is capturing the grand perspective of the landscape, Heather is anticipating the fleeting, non-verbal cues that define your connection: the deep breath before the "I do," the squeeze of a hand, or the laughter shared when you think the "official" photos are over.

Her Approach: Intuitive warmth. Heather’s background in high-stakes environments - including wildlife rehabilitation in Africa (twice!) - has forged incredible patience and an ability to read a situation that is invaluable on your Wedding Day. She ensures your experience is seamless and protected from the first email to the final gallery reveal.

THE LIGHTHOUSE ROCK LESSON

Our "Boots on the Ground" Philosophy

Our approach to weddings is best summed up by a red-dirt trail in the Texas Panhandle. We’ve visited Palo Duro Canyon three times—first as a dating couple in 2023, then as newlyweds on our honeymoon (in June 2024, when the trail was closed due to extreme heat), and finally on our first anniversary, May 2025.

We were determined to reach the iconic Lighthouse Rock, and we finally DID.

We clambered up that final steep ascent and put our hands on the stone, but looking back, the "conquering" wasn't the best part. It was the conversations with travelers from Canada and Ireland along the way; it was the wildlife we spotted in the brush; it was the way a rising full moon greeted us as we finished the ~ 6 mile round-trip trek.

We realized that while the destination is iconic, the journey is where the soul lives. We bring that same philosophy to your wedding: we handle the "hike" - the stress, the timeline, and the technicalities - so you can make memories, enjoy the VIEW, then bring it home to inspire you and the generations who come after you.

[ 05 / 08 ] OUR MISSION: THE SANCTUARY

Connection Over Convention

We serve the "Wild at Heart"—couples who find more meaning in a quiet sunrise than a crowded ballroom. Whether we are navigating a black-tie timeline or trekking into the backcountry to find the perfect dark-sky location,
our goal is the same:

Executive Decompression.

We handle the stress, the logistics, and the technical complexities so you can be fully, unapologetically present.
We are the stewards of your memories, preserving your legacy against the backdrop of the rugged landscapes that call you home or the ones you escape to for fresh air and space - from the canyons of the South to the peaks of the Rockies, and eventually, the misty shores of the PNW and the Scottish Highlands..

[ 07 / 08 ] ADVENTURE FAQS

Do you travel for elopements and weddings?

While our Basecamp is in North Texas, the Wolfpack is built for the road. We offer travel-inclusive collections designed to eliminate the 'logistics stress' of destination weddings. From permit-handling in National Parks to scouting remote ridgelines, we handle the 'how' so you can focus on the 'who'.

How do we book our wedding or elopement with your team?

The trail starts with a conversation. Click the "Tell Us Your Story" button below to fill out our inquiry form. If we’re available for your date, we’ll schedule a video call to hear your vision and ensure we're the right fit for your journey. To officially lock in your date on our calendar, we require a signed agreement and a retainer. From there, we begin the deep-dive planning.

What happens if the weather is unpredictable?

The wild is honest, and sometimes that means rain or wind. We carry plan A, B, and C for every session. Jon’s technical prep and Heather’s intuition ensure we find the beauty in the elements while keeping you safe.

Can you help us find the right location?

Absolutely. We provide bespoke location curation. Whether you want a four-mile hike to a summit or a scenic overlook accessible by car, we scout the terrain and lighting to ensure your sanctuary is perfect.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

Two weeks after your wedding, you’ll receive an update as we curate your story. At that time, we will schedule your Gallery Reveal & Heirloom Design Session, which typically occurs 4 to 6 weeks post-celebration. This session is your premiere—hosted at our HQ or virtually—where we celebrate your journey, release your high-resolution collection, and guide you in utilizing your included print credit to design your custom heirlooms.

Are you permit-savvy for National Parks?

Yes. Part of our "Executive Decompression" is handling the red tape. We guide you through the permit requirements for state and national lands so your legacy is preserved legally and ethically.
