The Stargazing Experience

A guided astronomy tour for couples and families, totally immersed in nature, amazed by the night sky. Meet us at a local state park with great, dark skies, and we'll identify what we're looking at, watch for shooting stars, take photographs of targets in the sky or environmental portraits with the nightscape as YOUR background . This specialized session is great for an EPIC date night, engagement or anniversary session - or if you and your honey just want to learn more about the night sky and take something tangible home with you.

Stargazing under a starlit sky with mountains in the background at night.

After many years now of learning how to photograph the night sky and slowly introducing people into these breathtaking starscapes, we are ready to offer this as a session. Have you ever looked up at the stars next to your honey and couldn't help but pull them closer? Taking all that beauty in can really bring a fresh sense of grounding, purpose, and perspective. Hearing the coyotes in the distance howling, the occasional fish splashing, the bullfrogs croaking, and the occasional plane whooshing high overhead, and then the silent stars twinkling like glitter as far as you can see, everything slows down. You remember to breathe deeply, then you pull your love closer knowing you are both in this together, blessed to be alive, experiencing the animating gift of life, side by side. These sessions can truly be special, and it is our honor to make them available. These take a bit more planning ahead, and of course, are more subject to weather as a (mostly) clear sky is preferable, but even amazing thunderstorms in the distance can add natural drama and a sense of adventure. The "Book Here" page has further session details and you can submit your request to book right there on the online calendar. Speaking of Calendar, check out our 2026 Celestial Forecast here!
